Rooted in aguas frescas flavors and inspired by the spirit of Día de los Muertos, Calaveres Energy brings a bold cultural perspective to the energy drink category. We developed a vibrant brand identity, packaging system, and suite of marketing materials, brought to life through custom illustrations by Alán Barba—creating a distinctive, high-impact brand designed to stand out on shelf and connect with a new generation of consumers.

The opportunity was to create a brand that could stand apart in a saturated energy drink category while staying true to its cultural inspiration. Our approach focused on blending bold Latin flavor cues with a clean, functional energy proposition—highlighting ingredients like natural caffeine, guayusa, lion’s mane, electrolytes, L-theanine, and L-carnitine. We developed a visual identity that feels both expressive and intentional, using vibrant color, strong typography, and a clear hierarchy to communicate flavor, function, and personality at a glance.
Custom illustrations by Alán Barba play a central role in the system, bringing the calavera motif to life in a way that feels modern, ownable, and deeply rooted in tradition. The packaging was designed for strong shelf impact and scalability across SKUs, while the extended suite of marketing materials ensures a cohesive brand experience across touchpoints. The result is a culturally resonant, visually distinctive brand that delivers both emotional connection and functional clarity—positioning Calaveres Energy as a fresh, differentiated voice in the energy space.
